Stop putting your trust in the bathroom scale. Here's why.

Getting an Inbody scan will help you in your weight loss goals better than the traditional bathroom scale. And it may stabilize your mental health!

I had a client who made a commitment to herself, to go to a local supplement store to get a complimentary InBody Scan to track her progress.
What's an InBody Scan? I’m glad you asked!

The InBodyScan is a body composition analyzer that measures the body water, fat mass, and muscle mass in your body. If you decide to weigh yourself on one of these scanners, you will receive an InBody Results Sheet.
This InBody Results sheet will show the total amount of your body water, dry lean mass, fat mass, total lean mass, as well as your overall weight. In essence, you will receive a comprehensive view of your body’s structure and make-up.
It will also show your Body Mass Index, or BMI (which is pointless but that's for another blog).
Additionally, the Result Sheet will provide your Basal Metabolic Rate or BMR, which is the number of calories your body needs for physiological functions, such as respiration, digestion, and excretion.
I knew it was the two-week mark, so I asked my client about her InBody Scan experience. She shared she was reluctant to go because according to the scale, she did not lose any weight. But she mustered up the fortitude and went anyway.
These numbers were from her latest Inbody scan:

These numbers were from her InBody scan two weeks before that.

Do you see it?
Look at her Total Body Water and Lean Mass in Scan A, then in Scan B taken two weeks after. Both numbers went up.
Now take a look at her Body Fat Mass. It decreased from 84.5 to 81.6.
But, her overall weight? Went up a pound!
If she saw just the weight number itself, she would have considered the two weeks of diet and exercise a failure.
"So, what's your point, Clarence?”
My point is simple, “Throw away your scale, because it's a weapon of (not Mass but) emotional destruction.” Your greatest weapon is obedience to the plan. When you bring me your what, the thing you want to accomplish, and I design, instruct, inspire, and hold you accountable to a plan to get you there, walk it out.
Do the things I instruct you to, remember your why, answer the phone when I call, text pics of your meals, and even if reluctantly, get a true and accurate picture of where you are at with an InBody Scan.
When you know better, do better and I look forward to celebrating your successes alongside you.
Take care of your body, it's the only place you have to live.
Clarence
